Lagging Behind
The Barn Swallow parents have been feeding their young at a slower pace than the nests did last year. You can also see that not all of the birds are receiving enough food, since one of them in the photograph I took today looks underdeveloped. Hopefully the parents will begin to feed all the babies fairly to ensure the highest survival rate.
